The beginning of the school year. Ali's least favorite time of the year. She hated winter and most things involving winter. The only thing about winter she likes is Christmas. Besides that, nothing to look forward to. Oh well. Summer was just in another few, siminly thousand months. Getting out of bed. She walked over to her dresser next to her bed and hurried and got dressed. She didn't wear anything special. Just a pair of dark gray short shorts and a Weezer "Pork and Beans" tee shirt. She put a belt on so her pants wouldn't fall down. That wouldn't be good. Move Finnly. She kicked at her cat when she tried to rub against her leg.
As much as she loved that animal, it got really annoying after awhile. It had decided to sleep on her head last night. She grabbed a chain necklace off her dresser and slipped it on, taking one last look at her outfit. It was okay. She moved on to her hair. She didn't really feel like doing anything with it, so she just left it wavy. She put a little bit of black eyeliner on her top lids, and a little mascara on. That was normally all the make up she wore.
She slipped on a pair of shoes. They were her favorite ones actually. Cherry red Converse. She had had them since she had first ented Hogwarts. Back when she was a Fist Year, Ali had been way to small but now they were more like a good luck charm. Climbed through the portrait hole headed towards the Entrance Hall. She wasn't sure where she was going yet but she didn't fee like sitting at home when it was so nice outside. She took her iPod out of her bag and stuck the earbuds in her ears. She put the volume on really low and put it on shuffle then dropped it back in her bag.
Pretty soon, she found herself walking in the Courtyard. She slowed down, considering going there. It was really pretty there. She decided to hang out in the park for a little while. She turned her iPod off, wanting to listen to the things around her. She sat down on the ground under a tree and looked around.

Her hair, finally, was up in a ponytail. It wasn’t that she didn’t wear her hair up at all. It was just that she didn’t do it so often, people who knew her had to do a double take to make sure that it was her. In fact, she was pretty sure she only wore her hair up once every two months or so. She rolled her eyes at herself since she was being so silly. Maybe she’d go outside to release some of the access energy she seemed to have stored up.
She set her book down and stood up. She cracked her fingers slightly, and then made sure to put on a red and gold tie, which went half well with her red button up shirt--that wasn’t buttoned--and the black shirt she had underneath. She also had jeans on. Jeans that had a hole where her right knee was. She’d get back at Chris for doing that to her some other time. For now, she slipped her feet into simple black sandals and left the room, not bothering to do her make-up.
Prudence thought about going to the Owlery later and sending a letter to her mom. Or finding Henry, wherever her male cousin may be, and having him orb a letter over there, as it would be much faster. That got her thinking. Could they orb inside the castle grounds? She really had no clue, and decided to ask Professor Dumbledore later. A small smile danced on her lips slightly as she waved at some of the students calling her over. They wanted her to play wizard chess, but she had no clue how to place the weird game. She also didn’t feel like hanging out with people who only viewed her and her family as the American Foreign Exchange Students.
She knew that was what they were, as they had been getting their education in Magic School, which, to her, was a lot smaller than Hogwarts. She climbed out of the portrait and went down the hall. It would be a while until she got anywhere. Maybe she’d go to the Black Lake, or the Lawns. Heck, she’d even settle with going to the Courtyard. She hummed to herself slightly, ignoring all the calls from people she didn’t know, and ignored the calls from the people she sort of knew. All these students had friends, knew these people since they had started Hogwarts, but she and her cousins, with the exception of Paris, just came in and had to make friends. She had started this year, her 5th. It was a hard year to just up and start, but she figured her older cousin Patricia, Patty, had it harder.
Shaking the thoughts from her head, she realized she was already on the bottom floor. She wondered where she was going to go. She shrugged to herself and then walked out to the grounds. She stood outside for a period of five seconds before walking in the direction where she thought the Courtyard was at. It was hard, being here and getting all confused where everything was. So far, she knew where all the classes were at, and that was about it.

No one could say Patricia Aphrodite Halliwell didn't know how to style her outfits. Her cousins sometimes joked about her fashion frenzy which was the only thing that was completely feminine about her personality. Though most the time she was called Patty, Paris had started calling her Aphrodite when she was younger and the nickname Dite and Aphrodite stuck with her family now she expected to be called by her middle name and she knew how to answer to it. It was almost second nature and if she was completely true with herself she was a bit vain. Looking in the mirror she smiled. Yes she was beautiful but not only outside but inside, she just had trouble showing it. 'You'd think being half cupid I'd be the most loving person alive.' She thought as she applied some smoky blue eye shadow with a undertone of silver to enhance her greenish eyes. She dressed in a a Black and white tunic top that flowed around her stomach and showed off a small section of midsection. She had on low cut black skinny jeans that fit like a second skin and pair of grey and black Swede buckle boots that went to her calf and her jewellery was simple. Channel earring in gold that had a big Five in the canter. A crystal heart necklace that shined blue that Pure had gotten her her last birthday and a white cuff bracelet that had golden flowers on it. She tucked her Rosewood wand in her left boot and teased her hair a bit making it all the more wavy. (Outfit = Click ME)Before grabing her robe up which she left open so everyone could see her cloths, she grabbed her ravenclaw tie which she tied loosely around her neck and make sure it didn't cover her necklace. She kept thinking of how this school was so much bigger then Magic school as she tried to find Prue. She wondered if she could get away with Hearting to where her cousin was? Patty shook her head and shuddered, her luck her mother would find out, and no one wanted to invoke the wrath of Phoebe Halliwell. She pased many students as she walked by, some were recognisable from her dorm but she really wasn't interested in making friends, she was only here for one year then she could join the rest of the family in the order, unless her mother sent her back to San Francisco to graduate there. She hoped not, she wanted to help her family, and she wasn't leaving her sisters in a unknown place without her. She smiled as she saw Prue entering the courtyard. Looking around she saw another girl, younger then her but older then Prue or so it looked. "Prue!" She called as she walked up her robes flying behind her. "Hey, how are you?" She asked, she noticed her cousins hair was up and smiled. She always pestered Prue about wearing her hair different ways instead of just down and straight. Patty wasn't a girly girl but she still was female. "Come on lets go make you a friend." Patty said, Patty always worried about Prue. Prue like her mother had problems with school clicks, or Popularity to put it simply, and Patty like her aunt Prue and Mom had no problem with it, she was one of the most popular in their old school.
