Rules
No godmodding
Your character cannot possibly dodge every attack or land every blow.
Over powering your character will cause a problem. Powerful characters are permitted, but try to keep that at the level or below that of a canon of their equivilant rank. Take turns losing and winning; god moders who are complained about will be dealt with.
No killing
Unless your fellow player gives permission, you can not kill another player. It is considered an extreme form of godmodding and can get you banned.
Under no circumstances may a character be killed unless the other player gives permission. No disfigurements may be allowed; however, if you are entering a thread with a character above your level, expect to be jostled around a bit. Just know who you are dealing with.
Stay in character
Be true to your character, especially a canon. For example, Fred and George are funny characters. They would not just straight up try to kill someone for no good reason. Luna wouldn't be reading a book that say, Hermione would normally read. Things like that.
Intoxication and 'spoof' threads are different matters, however, but keep it within the realm of possibility.
Posts must have a minimum of 200 words
If a post is too short, it makes responding difficult. At first, this may seem like a lot, but it will soon become easy to meet and surpass. Help will be given if needed.
Some writer's block is understandable, but please never make it a one-liner. More than a few a thread could potentially result in a warning.
Respect other players
Don't badmouth other characters out of pure spite. Needless insults will get you a warning. Characters who insult IC are void of this rule, but only to an extent.
Just use courtesy and be polite.
No Meta-Gaming
What is in character stays in character; do not take arguments to a player because their character was unkind to you.
Keep complaining to a minimum.
Please do not complain if your character has lost a fight. Unless you are being harassed or abused, refrain from whining to admins unless the issue is pressing.
Mature Content
Please keep the site at a PG-13 level. Some more mature themes, such as fighting and kissing are permitted, but anything beyond that, such as sex or torture, should be moved to the mature board. Contact an admin for the password.
No Solo Threads
You can't RP with yourself. This also goes if you have two characters. You can't use them both in the same thread. If you need an NPC played, ask an admin to do it for you.
Completed Topics
Put "Finished" in the title of your topic when the thread is completed. It makes it easier for the admins to sift through and remove them.
Inactivity
Any topic that is inactive for two weeks will automatically be locked and put into the graveyard. You must PM a staff member if you wish for the thread to be returned from whence it came.
Characters
If you took a character, stick with it. If you cannot stand a character you have chosen or have no threads, you may switch once. If you must switch again, you must get staff approval. After two times has passed, you must get 20 posts with your character before you drop it. No exceptions.
