Do not disrespect staff. Their word is final, and they will settle any arguments that arise than cannot be solved amongst the involved parties.
R-E-S-P-E-C-T
I'll tell you what it means to me, and to everyone else. Please, be courteous. Don't disrespect anybody. We try to run a friendly community here. Only one warning will be given for attacks, such as over race or personal reasons. If it continues, you will be banned.
Language
Slander. Don't overuse foul language. Once or twice, we'll let you go, but you will get warnings if it persists. In regular speech, if language is a problem, you will get a warning. If it is not an often occuring problem, you should be fine. This rule also applies to your characters as well. Of course, some characters just swear. Be reasonable, however. After three verbal warnings, there will be a temporary 24-hour ban. If the problem persists, a longer ban or even a permanent one may be in order.
Signature/Avatar
These aren't required, but they look nice. Avatars can be up to 100x100. As far as a signature, be reasonable. Nothing huge. 200x600 is about standard, but it can be varied. No profanity whatsoever.
Profiles
You may have up to five characters; however, a new account and new profile is to be made for each character. I know it's a pain to have to remember all those passwords (here's a tip, use the same one, it's easier). Thank you!
NOTE. Canon profiles are competitive. You can reserve on so the admins will know not to approve the first that is posted. Also, if someone wishes to challenge a canon applier before the profile is approved, they have to ask before they can create a profile for the same character. Then, the admins will judge who is more qualified.
Activity
There will be periodic checks of activity for the site, and occasional bouts of "spring cleaning". I don't expect everyone to be on every day. Just do try to keep up. If you will be absent or are having trouble, it doesn't take much to give us a heads up in the absences board.
Characters
Canons
You can have up to two canons. It is preferable that they are unrelated, as one cannot have a thread with themselves. You may have a total limit of five characters. The other three are OC. It is possible to have more than one character in the same family, but more than three is not recommended. If any canon is inactive for an extended amount of time, unless specified in the correct board, will have their profile put up for grabs, and the character will become open. No user is allowed to have two Blacks, or two Malfoy's, or two of anything similar.
New Characters
If you do wish to obtain a new character, all accounts must have 20 IC posts, minimum. No exceptions. You must make a new account for each character. Do not make a new account if the requirements are not met. At maximum, a single user may have up to five accounts.
Positions of Power
If you play as a powerful character, such as in the Ministry or an Elder, try to be responsible, as well as active. If somebody takes a position of power and becomes inactive, some characters could be brought to a standstill.
Applications
If any application is inactive for more than a week, it will be moved to the declined folder. Absolutely, under no circumstances, should you post in another character's application. Bring it to one of the admins.
NOTE: If you bother the admins repeatedly to look at your profile, we will tack three days on before looking at it. We'll look at them, don't worry. If a week passes and nobody looks at it, it's fair to drop us a hint.
